There pharmaceuticals can not be filtered out through the wastewater treatment plants and so are simply dumped in the environment and eventually make their way into the wild life.
The effects of these drugs on the wild life has included retarded development, reproductive problems, male fish developing female genitalia and inhibited growth.
Traces of Prozac have been found in the liver, brain tissue and muscle tissue of fish.

Wow! Prozac in drinking water? Fish changing sexes. This explains why after a tap water drinking binge I had the urge to burn a bra..LOL..;) I also heard drinking the tap can cause one to become a communist…LOL.. Keep drinking kiddies.
Thank you for this video also. I will be using it in my fight to keep my 9 year old daughter off those meds. Local Dept. of Social Services is going to love it because they told me recently to flush unused medications. Love Ya for what you are doing.
Prozac has not been found in tap water though it has been found in waste water plant discharge. The drugs are not building up…the degrade over time. I wouldnt freak about this. There are so many other things we are exposed too - this is the least of our problems. But hey, quit flushing your prescriptions and OTC drugs in toilet!

Yeah, there is a lot of stuff contaminating our environment. It is important to keep yourself healthy but if we spend too much time worrying about it, it will drive us crazy… It drives me crazy anyway.
You forgot about soy runoff. In the UK it is a major problem. Soy is the devil.
