Man-O-Man what a shame! that to many people do not hear the music speaking about the lives and times of each player like FH,LM,JH,WM just be quiet long enough to hear it and in doing so Some of you might catch yourselves thinking something stupid to say.
I very much doubt that FH had to read anything in playing this standard. My guess is that the music stand is there for other pieces. but ha-ha from me, too!
I would have agreed with you about Wynton at one point, but only out of ignorance; Freddie and Woody are something else, no doubt, and I rate them above Wynton, but he is a jazz player through and through, and a pretty amazing technician at that.

This, for me, really exemplifies what jazz music is all about - great technique, but controlled by the soul. WICKED. Thanks for this.
Freddie has that sound!
Es un gigante Freddie Hubbard, que sonido mas bello y que estilo. Excelente…

you gotta remember its a different era
freddie had different influences and played w/ guys like joe henderson who is a lot different from harold land w/ clifford
Even jazz greats like Freddie Hubbard read sheet music during a performance. haha. I love Freddie!
Warum würden Sie Ihren Abfall auf dieser Seite bekanntgeben. Sie sind ein Idiot!
lovely sound and inspiration (except 2 high notes passages where he looses coherence somewhat…) great emotional playing !
excellent solo, and a moving reflexion on clifford s style. beautiful !
Freddie is incredible and anyone who says otherwise is a mental retard or is not a real musician
