Technically it was 40 hours and some minutes. He gets out 2:51 which displays a little after 40 hours.
that would suck if he all of a sudden had to pee REALLY bad.

thats bad but i thought elevators had the little maitance hole on the roofs ? could he not of got out of that and shouted for help or something or a ladder?
if you read the article he tried to sue the company for 31 million dollars but he failed and he is now unemployed and poor.

Read the article….i guess this whole experience ruied his life. Lost his job, appartment and his money. He tried suing the building but i guess got very little in the settlement. What a bad day.
i would cry 2 death if i was stuck that long!
He was on an express elevator. There are no doors from the lobby to the 30th floor. Basically he opened the door to concrete.

how come he didnt go outside when he pushed the doors open? were the concrite or something out the door?

at least the lights didnt go out in his car. that would have made it alot worse.
